Jeff Buley was was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, partner, colleague, golf-buddy and friend.
He was a highly skilled election law attorney; a talented storyteller; an enviable golfer; a music enthusiast; and an avid fan of the Mets, Jets and Rangers. Whenever he learned of someone with a problem, he stepped in to help.
This was particularly so with those who struggled with addiction. Jeff helped countless people in their battles with addiction, leaning on his experience to guide others. Jeff always wanted to fix a problem, but there is no easy solution for addiction. The Jeffrey T. Buley Research Fund will continue Jeff’s work helping others in partnership with The Addiction Institute at Mt. Sinai (AIMS).
The Jeffrey T. Buley Fund will help fund AIMS initiatives, particularly those focused on addiction and adolescents, addiction as it relates to childhood trauma, and addiction and brain imaging. The Addiction Institute not only conducts research, but applies its findings to patients in different settings to identify scalable, innovative strategies in the battle against addiction.
We hope that you will support this important work by making a tax-deductible contribution. Thank you in advance for your support and for continuing Jeff’s work.
