The 10th Anniversary Greening Our Children Benefit Luncheon will celebrate the Children's Environmental Health Center (CEHC) and the many ways the Center is changing how we think about children's health. Our Center conducts innovative research around the world to identify the most important chemical, physical, nutritional, and social factors affecting children's health and future development. In 2015, the CEHC became an early pioneer in the new field of Exposomics, which examines the connections between the totality of environmental exposures over the entire lifespan and the diseases they cause, including those diagnosed later in life that have their origins in the childhood environment. Our team examines a wide range of diseases and conditions including: ADHD, ALS, allergies, Alzheimer's Disease, asthma, autism, birth defects, diabetes, hip fractures, Parkinson's Disease, pediatric cancer, obesity, schizophrenia and stress. The CEHC uses its findings to educate communities, advocate for public health policies and translate its research into new strategies for prevention and treatment.
