Our family is trying to raise funds for Mount Sinai Health System through #FitForTheFrontline! It is a national fitness challenge over 3 weeks culminating June 14th where participants select any fitness activity/challenge to help fundraise for our academic medical systems which have been hit hard during this pandemic. Spearheaded by my father-in-law Richard Friedman who is Co-Chairman of the Mount Sinai Board of Trustees, the campaign directly supports the newly created Mount Sinai Center for Stress, Resilience, and Personal Growth to address COVID-19’s impact on the mental health of frontline staff.
As many of you know, Josh is a 4th year resident physician at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City who worked on the frontline. We feel a strong connection with supporting our medical community ranging from nurses to providers to support staff.
Our challenge to you! Please support us and donate to either of our challenges.
Josh’s challenge: 200-300 push-ups per day starting today. Any donations would be welcome but a goal would be anywhere from 1 cent to 1 dollar per push-up! He is aiming for 4000 push-ups overall.
My challenge: paint every day for at least an hour over the next two weeks! My focus is promoting mental health which is what this movement is all about.
And at the end of our 14 days, the individual who has pledged the most for either challenge will win my artwork. Thank you to everyone considering supporting our frontline community. Follow us on Instagram for updates to our challenges. Stay safe!
Best,
Erica and Josh Friedman
