Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I could not run these races without your love and support!
This year is my seventh New York City Marathon to raise money for TEAM ANDI, supporting the NICU at Mount Sinai Hospital Center. TEAM ANDI is such an amazing cause, near and dear to my heart.
The Mount Sinai Health System relies on community support to help make possible our essential work of outstanding clinical care, innovative research initiatives and more.
Additionally--a lot of people don't know this--most marathons are charitable races! We run to raise money to support the patients, staff, and families at the Mount Sinai West Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). My friend Amy's daughter Andi was born at Mount Sinai 10 weeks early weighing just over 2 pounds. Baby Andi lived in the NICU for almost 3 months. Amy brought Andi into this world, but the NICU staff brought Baby Andi to life.
After COVID we New Yorkers don't take hospitals for granted anymore, and they need our support more than ever. Back in 2014, Amy took her passion for running and combined it with her gratitude toward Mount Sinai's NICU and created this charity called TEAM ANDI. Since then, TEAM ANDI has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the NICU, its staff, patients, and families. TEAM ANDI also financed the first private NICU room at Mount Sinai Hospital East that can hold a family for overnight stays in the hospital's NICU while their baby is recovering. Now, thanks to the support of donors like you we have a 2nd TEAM ANDI Room at Mount Sinai West at 1000 Tenth Avenue.
And much more is to come!
We thank you for your generous support!
