Wow !! Honored to be joining Mt. Sinai's Team IBDKids for the 53rd Anniversary of the New York City Marathon !
In elementary school I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. After much medication, surgery (ileocolic resection surgery), and 12 less inches of my small intestines, it has been a long road to get here.
With the help of friends and family, I have been able to raise over $12,000 over the last four NYC marathon races to support Crohns and Colitis research. Now living in NYC, this race has been a special day for friends and family to come together and celebrate the Crohn's journey I've endured.
Being able to continue collaborating with the hospital that has helped me with my own Crohn's diagnosis has influenced me to run 26.2 miles for the fifth time! Thank you Dr. Benkov for your continued support throughout the years.
If you want to help me cross the finish line, please check out my fundraising page below. And if you are in the NJ/NY area, lets do some running together!
Thanks everyone :)
