Watch the video to learn more about Mount Sinai’s global health partner in Nepal!
The need:
AMPATH Nepal is seeking support to strengthen adolescent health services at public schools and clinics. The province where Dhulikhel Hospital (DH) is located has introduced a program placing a clinical nurse at each school. However, adequate training of such nurses in the provision of adolescent-friendly services in this novel context is an urgent need. We are also seeking support in improving access to subspeciality services by training Nepali physicians through bilateral exchange. There is great interest in expanding available subspecialty services at DH, and partnership with Mount Sinai will provide Nepali clinicians with opportunities to train with their counterparts in subspecialties not yet available in Nepal.
More information on the partnership:
The Arnhold Institute for Global Health (AIGH) recently launched in collaboration with AMPATH partnership, Dhulikhel Hospital (DH) and Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS), a new partnership in Nepal. This new partnership presents opportunities for collaboration in areas of care, education, and research with the common goal of improving lives in the communities we serve.
Your contribution:
A donation to the Nepal partnership can transform the lives of Nepali residents. Funding can increase training for nurses in Nepal to improve care for patients at Dhulikhel Hospital and at its other outreach centers.
